Events Coordinator

Reports to: Senior Events Manager 

Status: Seasonal – April through October 2024  

Location: Denver, CO  

Hours: 15 hours/week with additional hours required during peak MOMCON Season

Compensation: $22 per hour 

Purpose

The Events Coordinator will assist and support the Events Team and the execution of MOMCON, The MomCo’s annual conference. The Events Coordinator will provide project management, general administration, as well as hands-on support to ensure the success of the event.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate MOMCON related projects including all project management details for creative collateral including videos, graphics, reach-outs and collecting creative assets.
  • Support Events Team through various administrative tasks such as note taking, picking up lunch orders, packing/unpacking for MOMCON, shopping for materials, supplies and giveaways, etc.
  • Able to proactively anticipate needs of the team and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure every detail is taken care of.
  • Process check requests for all main stage speakers, workshop speakers, vendors, etc.
  • Support the MOMCON marketing plan in collaboration with the Marketing Team which includes gathering all marketing content for the app, campaigns, contests etc.
  • Support the MOMCON App with the Marketing Team to ensure all organizational ads, announcements and messaging is highlighted throughout the weekend.
  • Manage all food and beverage for MOMCON.
  • Coordinate collection of surveys from moms and staff.
  • Others duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Follower of Jesus. Able to faithfully sign and uphold the MomCo. Faith and Values Statement.
  • Three to five years’ experience supporting large events in a LIVE capacity.
  • Able to coordinate several activities simultaneously, setting priorities effectively.
  • Proven ability to maintain a “calm under pressure” and problem-solving attitude on site at live events.
  • Tech savvy with strong computer skills (proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • High level of flexibility, follow-through, and responsiveness.
  • Team player with world-class organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical ability. Willing to take initiative.
  • Clarity in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conducts self in a professional manner.
  • Curiosity, sense of humor and tenacity are highly valued.
  • Able to work 40 hrs/week during peak event season and overtime during event.
  • Able to travel for up to a week at a time.
  • Able to lift 25 pounds and walk up to 5-8 miles daily during MOMCON.
