What to expect
West Side MOPS (Mothers-of-Preschoolers) is a support group for mothers of young children that has been actively serving West Seattle for over 30 years! We recognize the incredibly important task that mothers are taking on and offer them a unique opportunity by providing a 2-hour retreat that includes childcare (and a kid-free breakfast for mom)! It’s a chance for worn-out mothers to relax, refuel and enjoy uninterrupted conversation as well as encouragement from our mentor moms. It’s also a wonderful place to forge friendships with other women who can empathize about these challenging preschool years.
Who can come?
We've all been placed in this time and place in history, as the tribe of women who are raising the world. We know we mother better together, so all moms are welcome at MOPS. From the time you get pregnant to when your kiddo is in Kindergarten, our doors are open.
For the kids
Childcare is provided by West Side Presbyterian volunteers, whom we lovingly refer to as our MOPS Kids Volunteers. Moms drop off their children in pre-assigned MOPS Kids rooms between 9:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and then join the group in Howell Auditorium for some much-needed mom time. Kids will enjoy free play, story time, snack and even a craft most meetings!
