What to expect
MOPS stands for Mothers of PreSchoolers, but we welcome every mom from pregnancy up to your children being age six. A MOPS meeting includes practical teaching through speakers, demonstrations and videos. Plus, there's food... But more important, you'll get to have honest conversations with other moms who understand the joys and frustrations of motherhood.
For all the planners out there (um that would be me), here are MOPS dates for this year:
Sept 5 & 19
Oct 3 & 17
Nov 7 & 21
Dec 5 & 19
Jan 9 & 23
Feb 13 & 27
Mar 12 & 26
Apr 9 & 23
May 7 & 21
Who can come?
We've all been placed in this time and place in history, as the tribe of women who are raising the world. Military moms know better than anyone that we mother better together, so all moms are welcome.
For the kids
We know you love your kids. We also know you could use a break from their beautiful, sticky hands and many, inquisitive questions. We have background checked workers that we know and trust to take good care of your kids while you enjoy meeting with other women and talking to people who are as tall as you are. We try to get mostly volunteers for our child care workers (so if you know of anyone who would love to help let us know), but we do end up needing to pay some, so we charge moms $10 a month (that's $5 a meeting) to help with costs.
