MOPS Group Info Page

What is a MOPS group? Here's the skinny:  MOPS groups are gatherings of moms coming together for community, conversation and friendship. The goal of MOPS is to meet each mom where she is and walk beside her as she embarks upon the crazy and beautiful journey we call motherhood. That’s why we have four different types of MOPS groups – so that YOU, mama, get exactly what you need and are surrounded by other moms just like you. MOPS Feel like just an ordinary mom? Far from it, sister! No matter how many kids you have, if you work, stay-at-home, are married or single, starting a MOPS group empowers you to link arms with other moms and journey together through motherhood. MOPS groups vary in size from 4 – 200 moms and meet once or twice per month. You cannot be supermom all the time, which is why groups often provide childcare for MOPS moms through our MOPS Kids program. Teen Teen MOPS provides a supportive and welcoming environment where a teen mom can come and let her guard down, find motivation, encouragement, and relief knowing she is not alone. Teen MOPS groups help teen moms become more self-sufficient, confident, mature ...

Starry Eyed Theme

We Are the Starry Eyed Welcome to the 2016-17 MOPS International Theme – We Are the Starry Eyed Sometimes we think we have to pick one, when in reality it is always both. Light and dark, hope and fear, kindness and risk, wonder and mundane. This is evidenced by the fact that we are people who are meant to live by both sunlight and moonlight. Our natural rhythms revolve around the circling of sun and moon. Yet often our tendency is to cling to one, the one that is more comfortable, forgetting that our fullest living comes when we embrace the swirly mix. Starry Eyed means looking for the light even when darkness is enveloping. It is an opportunity to hope recklessly and to witness God’s presence guiding things seen and unseen, comfortable and uncomfortable. When we reflect back over our lives, this year is going to stand out. It will be the year that we decided to live fully by both sunlight and moonlight. Because audacity is rising in the deepest and wildest parts of our souls. And the best part is, we will experience it all together. So the question becomes, When was the last time you felt …

Flourish Theme

A Fierce Flourishing Welcome to the 2015-16 MOPS International Theme – A Fierce Flourishing  Theme Verse: For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Isaiah 55:12 Sometimes we need new eyes. A perspective shift that recalibrates our hearts to the rhythm of God’s goodness surrounding us. To tune our hearts to better hear the music of the divine echoing throughout this world. That we might let that goodness seep into our bones and into our hearts so we can remember what it feels like to flourish. We think flourishing looks a lot like: Celebrating Lavishly: Celebrating breathes life into our days. Could it be that commemorating moments might help us to become more alive, to remember what is good and become masterful at recognizing it? How would life change to regularly invite friends into our stolen moments with uninhibited dancing and the best food, while gathered around the biggest table with the deepest conversations? Lavish celebrations can be sacred markers that help remind us who we are. Embracing Rest: Perhaps it is time ...
