Costs Involved with MOPS
A chartered organization accepts the responsibility of paying the following fees for each of its MOPS groups to MOPS International:
  • Initial Chartering Fee
The total fee for chartering a new MOPS Group is $325, due with the Charter Agreement.
  • Annual Charter Renewal Fee
Each year your group must renew its Charter. The cost of this is currently $159 ($99 for MOPS@ groups).
  • MOPS International Membership fees are $23.95 per mom per year and $28.95 per Mentor per year, with scholarships and discounts available.

MOPS International is a non-profit ministry, and the Charter and MOPS International Membership fees help bring MOPS to moms!

From the headquarters in Denver, CO, ministry resources are developed and distributed to moms and MOPS groups across the United States and around the world. Financial aid is available to groups that cannot afford the Chartering fee. Contact MOPS International for more information.

In addition to the fees paid to MOPS International, your group should plan for the costs of any program expenses, such as MOPPETS childcare and/or curriculum, supplies for creative activities or refreshments.

Funding for MOPS expenses can come from a variety of sources:
  • Ideally, the local ministry holding the MOPS charter includes MOPS in their budget. Because MOPS is an outreach ministry, MOPS groups may be funded through Missions, Women's Ministry or Christian Education budgets.
  • Many MOPS groups support themselves with self-generating funds from fundraisers or meeting fees.
