Writer�s Guidelines for MOPS Brand Books

MOPS International has a well-established publishing brand with 30 titles currently in print with Zondervan, Zonderkidz and Revell (Baker Publishing Group). MOPS publishes books dealing with the needs and interests of mothers with young children, who may or may not be Christians. Four to five new titles are published in the line each year. MOPS brand books are marketed to Christian retail stores and the general market by the publisher, and to the MOPS audience by MOPS International. Interested authors should review existing titles in the brand to avoid duplication (www.MOPShop.org).

The Selection Process

An Acquisitions Team at MOPS International reviews book proposals. Approved titles are forwarded to the Publishing Review Team, which is composed of some staff members, some board members, and some �real moms.� If a project is approved by this committee, it is submitted with the author to the MOPS publisher by MOPS International�s literary agents.

Submissions

Please send a query letter or complete book proposal with three sample chapters. Below is a sample of a book proposal template. Both electronic submissions and hard copies are acceptable. If at all possible we respond within eight to twelve weeks.
