My favorite thing about being a mom is … I can color with my kids. I can shout, sing, dance and be crazy and childish.
For dinner last night, we ate … a spinach dish my husband made (lunch is our main meal).
A favorite memory from today … was watching a DVD with my husband on parenting, and laughing because we discovered what a lousy job we’re doing!
Things we do together as a family … we play Thomas the Train together. And also the kids jump on us and we start tickling each other. Sometimes I video shoot these unforgettable moments.
Grocery shopping can be an adventure … because quite rarely will we do family shopping — we end up with back pain because one of the kids wants to be carried all of the time!
My dreams for my children … I want them to love Jesus. I want to equip them to make correct decisions. I pray and leave all this to Jesus because only he can do this; I cannot.
Things I like to do with my mommy friends … mothers’ meeting because I can laugh genuinely.
What I like to wear/eat/drink … I wear a training suit, eat chocolate and drink Perrier.
How I live out my spiritual life … I listen to Christian songs — some were written by members of the team I sing with. I clean and talk to Jesus. If I had a hard day, I cry and complain to him. If things get terrible, I ask my friends to pray for me.
Tidbits … We don’t have many nice parks or other places that are safe and clean for kids to play. We live in apartment buildings, and it’s hard when both kids fall asleep and I need to carry them both to our home. Arabic food is messy for kids to eat — rice, sauce, chicken and salad for lunch means the kids and the floor are a disaster! I’d like to work part-time, but part-time work or working from home is not an option.
