My favorite thing about being a mom is … seeing my children grow and their personalities come to life.
One of the hardest things about being a mom is … dealing with disobedience and trying not to get angry when I discipline my kids.
For dinner last night, we ate … rice, meatloaf, corn, mashed potatoes and panetone (a kind of cake).
A favorite memory from today … finding a desk for my son so he has a proper place to do homework. It felt good to do something for him.
One thing I use everyday … a computer. I work as a translator and this lets me work from home most days so I can be with my kids.
My dreams for my children … I want them to make a difference in the kingdom of God and never leave the Lord.
One thing I’d like to change for my family … that my husband would have a job nearby. He works 11/2 hours away. He leaves early and gets home after 8 P.M.
Things I like to do with my mommy friends … go out for coffee and share experiences. Also, we take our kids to the movies, theater or other programs together.
What I like to wear/eat/drink… love pajamas — aren’t they the most comfortable things? I love to eat chocolate and drink iced tea.
How I live out my spiritual life … I read my Bible early in the morning when the kids are still asleep. I pray and talk to the Lord about my day, my family and friends in need.
Tidbits … Lunch is our main meal. Usually moms have maids that come to help with housekeeping. These women feel like a part of the family. Brazilian men don’t help a lot in the home, even though many moms work outside the home. We’re slowly changing that with our sons! We often live with our parents until we are married.
