Working out can be a great stress reliever … so don’t stress on what to wear while working out!  With these tips you will always look amazing in the gym, no matter what your activity of choice.

Yoga

Wear leggings. Make sure they are thick enough as to not give the person behind you a peep show … when in doubt wear full coverage panties in the same color as your leggings for double protection. Wear something tight on your top half so you do not have any extra fabric in your face while upside down! A tank with a built in bra is great for yoga.

Zumba

Wear a track pant or cute pair of sweat pants … you are dancing and moving around in loose clothing so it works for this type of aerobic exercise. Make sure you wear a supportive sports bra if there is a lot of jumping around in your class. Wear a tight or loose top, depending on your bottoms. (Wearing loose bottoms and a loose top will make you look sloppy, so if you choose a loose top wear tighter bottoms and visa versa.)

Running

Leggings are great, but choose a dark pair to avoid obvious sweat stains. Choose short leggings for summer, crops for spring/fall and long insulated ones for winter. Any of these will work indoors, depending on the temperature of your gym. On top, choose something that will glide with you while moving in a consistent motion. My choice is a racer-back tank with a built-in bra, along with a regular sports bra. The double protection allows you to avoid nipping out and it keeps your chest snug while running a long distance.

Lifting

Choose sweatpants for your bottom to create ease in your movements while squatting, bending and twisting. Choose a tighter top to avoid any loose fabric getting caught with your lifting movements.

* Tip for any fashionable gym rat: Bring a great vest or zip up to avoid chills after a sweaty workout. Plus you will look chic and put together if you need to run an errand afterwards.

Additional Tips:

* Color still matters while working out, avoid grey if at all possible as it shows any drop of sweat.

*If you have blue or green eyes, wear that color on your top half; if you have dark or brown eyes wear a deep green or purple on top. Pink is always fun, but choose a color that matches your natural blush tones and doesn’t overpower you.
