We are doing an Oriole's game for Father's Day. My six year old will be staying with Grandma for a week after school lets out so my hubby and I will be moving our two year old into his room and making it "theirs" (decorating) which they have both been wanting. We will meet up with him in NY and as a family-hang there for a week and a half. We will swim, go tubing and just play:) There is no reception there so we unplug which is hard but good for us.

Jamie, as a fellow pianist, I applaud your quest to teach your little ones to play. I hope those little fingers tickle the ivories like nobody's business. :)

We will be taking our first 2 day road trip as a family of 4 to New Mexico!

Michelle, I wish you the best of luck. How many hours is the drive going to be? And what car distractions do you have planned?

Reply

18+ hrs and I just pack a bag of favorite books, lacing cards, small baby doll, and couple other options for the oldest. We have yet to breakout the dvd player...we shall see if we can make it through without once again. More concerned about the baby, a 5 hour trip was difficult, but I had both kids with just me. Should be easier this time.

You're a brave mom. :) I hope the vacation is worth the trip!!
