My kids have done bake sales at church for children's charity organizations in our town. They made a crazy amount of money and were so proud to help local kids.

I know that kids don't really understand when we say, "you should eat this _____________ (delicious amazing food I just prepared) _______ because there are starving kids," but man, I wish they knew how lucky they really are to be eating the delicious, amazing food I just prepared. :)

We are currently helping to raise money for Lyft, as they are trying to get enough money together to make 200 backpacks full of food, etc., for those homeless in downtown Nashville.

That's a fantastic way to get involved in your local community, Heather. I have been to Nashville a handful of time and it's such a beautiful city!

We have raised money to be able to sponsor a little boy from Albania. We did a bake sale, bracelet sale, and a raffle in order to raise enough to sponsor him for 6 months! It was not only fun and a great lesson in compassion for my kids, but it helped to change the little boy's life...and his family's!

Debbie, that's incredible. Way to put so much into changing that little boy's life, and how amazing to have your kids involved. :)
