It’s summer! And oh so many reasons to put on those shorts and head outside! Here are a few tips on how to find the best short for you!![](http://www.mops.org/images/cms_images/four-rules-on-wearing-shorts-1.jpg" /></p>
<h3>1.Proportions.</h3>
<p>When choosing the best short option for you, stay within the boundaries of your proportions</p>
<ul>
<li>If you are petite, your shorts can be a little shorter as this will create a longer leg line which will make you look taller and leaner!</li>
<li>If you are tall, you can rock a little longer short because your leg line is already long, if you were to choose ”short shorts” you might look extremely leggy and a bit less conservative than intended!</li>

- Be aware of the cuff size on your shorts. This also needs to be proportioned with how long your legs are: a large cuff on a petite woman can be overwhelming, as a small cuff on a tall woman can get lost and become obsolete.
2.Fit.
An incorrect fit can make anyone look larger.
- Make sure the shorts fit just right — if you wear them a little big it will make you look larger than you are. Additionally, if you wear them a little too tight it can create the same effect … so the correct fit is key!
- One thing I recommend to all my mommy clients is to choose a mid-rise short, that will give your bottom the coverage you need while on the floor playing with the little ones or bending over to pick up your tot (there is nothing worse than undies hanging out the top of your shorts).

<li>If you have a hard time fitting the waist, wear a belt or get the waist taken in. Very few people can pick up their size and have it fit just right. Look for a perfect fit around the largest part of your body and keep in mind you may need to have them tailored where they don’t quite work.</li>
<li>Different brands run larger and smaller in certain sizes so try on a few different types and brands of shorts to find your perfect pair.</li>

<h3>3.Fabric.</h3>
<p>Shorts can be dressed up or down depending on the fabric.</p>
<ul>
<li><span style="line-height: 1.6;">Stiff cotton and spandex (which adds the stretch and comfort factor) can create a dressed-up look. Adding a wedge shoe and the right top, you can take these shorts from day to evening!<br /><img class="center" title="" alt="" src=)
