Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child

Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

Jesus loved little children. They were the perfect examples of how simple faith works in the Kingdom of God and how true greatness can only be gained through true humility. How easy it was for little children to run into the arms of Jesus! They not only understood who He was, but His arms were always open, always reaching out for them. Jesus continues to draw children to Himself - only now He wants His people to be the arms that do the reaching.

Operation Christmas Child is doing just that. Reaching out to millions of needy children by distributing simple shoe box gifts along with the good news of God’s greatest gift to the world – Jesus Christ. As the world’s largest Christmas project, Operation Christmas Child collected nearly 8 million shoe boxes last year, but that number barely touches the millions of children still waiting to hear the simple, yet life-changing message of God’s love.

By packing shoe box gifts, caring moms, families, churches and groups can become the arms of Jesus Christ and reach out to a generation that is precious to Him. As a result, families and even entire communities can be changed for eternity.

Operation Christmas Child offers free resources for MOPS groups, churches or simply your own family or group of girlfriends to get involved in sharing Christ through simple shoe box gifts. Make Operation Christmas Child a tradition of giving for your circle of friends and family, and your heart will be blessed as you bless needy children who need to know they are loved and not forgotten.
